The International Women Power Conference (IWPC) is proud to announce the appointment of Ambassador Zainab Musa Darboe Jammeh for a three-year tenure as the Africa Chairperson of IWPC. 
She was officially decorated as Africa Chairperson during the 2024 International Women Power Conference, which held at ECOWAS Headquarters, Asokoro on the 25th of October.

Dr. Chris Oko Odey, President and Founder of IWPC, is delighted to make this announcement, recognizing Ambassador Darboe’s exceptional leadership and dedication to humanitarian causes.
Ambassador Darboe is a Gambian-American philanthropist, CEO, and human rights advocate, known for her tireless work in supporting youth, empowering women, and championing various social causes. Since founding Sunshine Park Adult Family in Washington, DC in 2012, she has grown as a respected leader and role model to youth worldwide. With numerous awards to her name, Ambassador Darboe’s influence extends from young artists and community associations to religious education and disaster relief efforts.
A graduate of Lake Washington College with a nursing degree, Ambassador Darboe’s commitment to giving back has shaped her support for initiatives spanning girls’ education, youth organizations, and unprivileged families. Her contributions have positively impacted communities and demonstrated the kind of resilient leadership IWPC values.

As Africa Chairperson, Ambassador Darboe will work closely with IWPC to further its mission of women’s empowerment and social advancement, leading key initiatives, representing IWPC globally, and supporting the organization’s charitable projects across Africa.
