The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ibom Power Company Limited, Meyen Etukudoh, has been sacked by Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno.
The announcement was made Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, who stated that the dismissal was effective immediately.
The statement explained, “As part of ongoing restructuring exercise of this administration, to align with the machinery of government in the power sector, to the ARISE agenda, Governor Eno has relieved Managing Director of Ibom Power Company Limited, Engr. Etukudoh of his appointment with immediate effect from November 14, 2024.”
It further directed that “Etukudoh is, therefore, directed to handover to the commissioner, Ministry of Power, who will oversee the company till further notice. The governor, expresses gratitude to the Managing Director for his services to the state and wishes him success in his future endeavours.”
