Jake Paul and Mike Tyson have been handed suspensions from boxing following their highly publicized fight in Texas.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has enforced a rule requiring each fighter to rest for three days per round fought. As the fight lasted eight rounds, both Paul and Tyson are barred from competing for 24 days.

Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, secured a unanimous points win over the 58-year-old Tyson. The fight, held at the AT&T Stadium, sparked controversy among fans, with many criticizing the bout as underwhelming.

After the fight, Paul expressed his admiration for Tyson, stating, “I’m sorry I didn’t knock him out… I love Mike.” Paul also revealed that he had pulled his punches during the bout, not wanting to inflict too much harm on his opponent.

The fight reportedly generated significant revenue, with Paul earning $40 million and Tyson receiving $20 million. The event drew an average of 60 million households, with a peak of 65 million viewers, according to MVP.

Paul’s win brings his professional boxing record to 11-1, leaving fans wondering what’s next for the 27-year-old.
