Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has announced the passing of his father.
The Chippa United goalkeeper shared the tragic news on his official Instagram page on Friday, accompanied by a heartfelt message and a tearful emoji.
While Nwabali did not reveal the cause of his father’s death, he simply wrote, “R.I.P Dad.”
Since his announcement, an outpouring of condolences has flooded in from fans and friends, offering their support to the Nigerian shot-stopper during this difficult time.
The news follows Nigeria’s recent qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, where Nwabali played a key role in the team’s success.
