A veteran musician, Chief Mike Ejeagha has given his endorsement for the forthcoming Nigeria's DJ awards, the first of its kind in the Nigerian entertainment sector.

The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) had come together and decided to honour the achievements of Nigerian DJs and others in the music value chain who have contributed significantly to the growth of entertainment industry.

The body has continued to lead consultations across the country to secure the buy-in of high profile individuals ahead of the award, aiming to make it a huge success.

Top leadership of DJAN had stormed the Enugu home of Chief Ejeagha, the Gwogwogwo crooner whose over two decade song recently dominated the airwaves.
He was informed of the upcoming awards taking place in Abuja, where he will also be honoured for raising the bar of entertainment in the country through his music.

Speaking at Chief Ejeagha's home, the Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) leadership led by its National President, Mr. Christian Edeh (DJ perfect international) said the elder stateman's music still resonates after several years.

He also said son of another veteran musician, Oliver De Coque will also be there to receive an award on behalf of his late father.

The elder statesman while receiving the delegation expressed joy that several years after, his music is still receiving awards.
While receiving his letter of invitation and ticket, he appreciated the team and prayed for the success of the award.

The maiden edition the award and recognition will hold on the 7th of December, 2024 at Chida International Hotel Abuja

Earlier, King Ateke Tom, the traditional ruler and first Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom in Rivers State, had also given his royal stamp of approval to the forthcoming Nigeria's inaugural DJ awards.
The traditional ruler while hosting the award organizers urged Nigerians to throw their weight behind the entertainment and creative industry for the value it adds in employment creation and economic stimulation.

Other members of the entourage include the media consultant/project manager of DJAN, Mr. Humphrey Onyima and Founder/CEO Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja, Hon Ejiro Okpihwo.
