Meshack-Hart Kalada Belema, a passionate gender advocate and the convener of Africa Women Summit has received tons of goodwill messages in celebration of his birthday.

Belema a popular face in the civic space is known to be a loud voice in the advocacy for women's right and policy for the protection of their interest.

The Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Port-Harcourt, also a communication specialist is a former chief press secretary to former First Lady of Nigeria.

Avalanche of goodwill messages have come his way from friends and associates through conventional and social media, who have hailed him for being a the voice of inclusion and right protection women need to thrive in the society, activating their full potentials.

One of the messages came from Abuja-based PR practitioner and a close ally of the celebrant, Alex Nwankwo popularly known as AlexReports. He said, "today I celebrate an exceptional activist and right advocate for his numerous contributions in advancing the civil space and amplifying the voice of the female gender to make her an active contributor in our national discourse. As you mark a year older today, may God increase you in wisdom and strength to continue to champion a worthy cause for our people", he said.

Meshack-Hart's commitment to gender equality extends to his advocacy for the "He for She" campaign, where he tirelessly champions the rights and opportunities of women and girls. 

He has been involved in numerous notable projects, including the Built to Last Series Workshop, which supports women-led businesses and NGOs, and the Pink Vote African Movement, which aims to mainstream gender-based issues in African elections. 

He also spearheads the She Tech Project, providing training for girls in digital skills, and the Coalition of Women in Africa for Peace & Development (COWAP), promoting peace and development initiatives.

The celebrant is also a committed community development advocate, which has further reflected in his role as the founder of the Engage, Empower, Educate Initiative (EEE Initiative), a Non-Governmental Organization that provides a platform for women, girls, and young people to take the lead in Africa's development. 

His EEE Initiative also prioritizes women’s health, with key focus areas including noncommunicable diseases, access to healthcare, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health.

His friends have staged a private ceremony in his honour to celebrate him on his special day.

The celebration in Abuja is only open to invited individuals who will be privy to the location and time.
