No fewer than 300 models and the beauty queens have taken part in the runway fashion and style audition ahead of the grand finale in October in Abuja, the nation's capital. 

The audition, which featured bold and confident young men and women who are eager to carve a career path in modeling, was organised by a leading Africa's fashion event brand, Fashion Fusion Africa (FFA). 

October 18th and 19th at Soul Resort, Jahi Abuja is expected to be an assembly point of fashion styles where 40 designers and 52 countries will come together in Abuja to square it out in the runway. 

It will be a display of style, elegance, culture and unimaginable creative arts, embedded in African fabrics and beauty. 

African fabrics such as Ankara, Akwete, Aso Oke, Alindi, Kente, Bogolan, Lamba and over 20 different fabrics that tell the story of the continent from generation to generation will be on display. 
The high point of the exercise was the official unveiling of Fashion Fusion Africa event in the presence of prospective partners and sponsors of the event.

Speaking at the audition, the lead organizer and Partner of Fashion Fusion Africa and Creative director "Obitaris Consult and Events LTD" Obinna T. Obi (Esq) said the time has come for African fashion to attract the respect it deserves. 

He described Fusion Fashion Africa as an event carefully created to embody the African unique style, culture and beauty showcasing African fabrics in its utmost originality panache.

"I'm passionate about African fashion and fabrics. I love the uniqueness and originality of African fashion, styles, elegance, and boldness it carries.

"For me to abandon my law practice of seven years and switched to fashion will tell you that I'm a fashionista and I love African fashion", he stated. 

While congratulating the models who took part in the audition, he urged them not to lose hope as they are further closer to their dreams. 
At least 50 models would be selected to take part in the grand finale. 

The Co- organizer of the Fashion Fusion, Joshua Agu the creative director outbox creatives and experience applauded the models for their participation as he coordinated the unveiling of the Project after the audition exercise.

About eight judges were on ground to examine the models' performances ranging from body movements, cat walking styles, boldness, confidence and other unique criteria put in place. 

The judges include Popular PR consultant, Alex Nwankwo, Amb. Princess Lalaa Aniemeka, Ex Bbnaija Housemate Angel, Ebuka Odogwu, Amarachi Ironkwe, Fashion Designer Sammiekal, Amb. Gwan Ananti, Mr Omokaro, Ella Mba and Mr World Nigeria Mazi Michael Chibuikem.
