Veteran journalist and broadcaster, Aliyu Abubakar Getso, has died.
Family sources confirmed that the respected media figure passed away on Sunday morning in Kano after a prolonged illness.
Getso was a well-known radio personality who worked with several prominent stations, including Kano State Radio Corporation, Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM.
He is survived by three wives, a number of children, and grandchildren.
According to the family, his funeral prayer (Janazah) will hold at his home near Second Gate, Janbulo, in the Kabuga area of Kano City.
