Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has released a 23-man list for Nigeria’s decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Lesotho and Benin Republic.

Nigeria’s qualification hopes remain alive by the slimmest margin after FIFA docked South Africa three points and three goals. The ruling moves the Eagles into third place on 11 points, trailing both South Africa and Benin Republic by three.

Captain William Troost-Ekong has made the squad despite scoring an own goal in the 1-1 draw against Bafana Bafana in their last outing.

The roster also marks a return for Terem Moffi, Semi Ajayi, Alhassan Yusuf and Olakunle Olusegun. Meanwhile, Akor Adams has earned his maiden call-up and could make his debut for the national team.
