Gunmen believed to be members of the Lakurawa terror group have reportedly murdered three personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) stationed at the Bakin Ruwa checkpoint near the Maje border in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Sources indicated that the attackers struck on Thursday night, torching the immigration post and a mosque located in the vicinity.

A video circulating on social media captures the moment the criminals set the mosque ablaze, with three Immigration officers seen engulfed in the fire.

While the Kebbi State command of the NIS has yet to issue an official statement, multiple officers within the service in the state confirmed the assault and the deaths of their colleagues at the Bakin Ruwa outpost.
