Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially pitched his political tent with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the coalition-backed party many had speculated he would align with ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku announced the move on Monday via his X account, sharing a photo of himself holding the ADC membership card with the caption, “It’s official.”
This development comes months after the former VP resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in July, citing the party’s prolonged internal crisis, which he said weakened its structure and unity.
