Winner of the 2025 Queen of Queens Beauty Pageant (QOQBP) Queen Jael Kallamu Tanite has completed the renovation of the library space of Model Primary School, Bwari, Abuja as a way of fostering love for reading among children, and improve learning environments for pupils in underserved communities.
The project under her "The Power of Pages" commenced in June 2025, with a visit to the school during a tour where he also interacted with the students.
She was displeased with the state of the library, necessitating an immediate action where her team remove the old, damaged ceilings of the library and replaced them with new, durable ones.
This was to ensure that a safe and conducive physical learning environment for learning was crated, setting a strong foundation for the full transformation.
Through the assistance of her volunteers and, friends Queen Tanite repainted and redesigned the library walls with bright, stimulating colours and positive educational themes, transforming the space into a vibrant reading-friendly environment.
The school management was full of gratitude for the new look the library space was putting on.
This was followed by crafting and installation of new bookshelves to replace the old, worn-out structures. The new shelving units gave the library a refreshed look and functionality in preparation for restocking with new books.
Several books have been donated that align with the curriculum of basic education and have since been placed on the shelf.
This is ahead of the official launching of the project. "Their combined efforts have brought the vision to life, transforming a neglected school library into a beacon of learning and inspiration", she said while thanking her team members and volunteers.
This is a demonstration of her belief that promoting literacy as a tool for empowerment and nation-building.
Date for the unveiling of the project is 7th November 2025, while the grand finale of the 2025 edition of Queen of Queens beauty pageant where she would be handing over to a successor is on 28th November 2025 at Sandralia Hotel, Jabi Abuja.
