Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has resigned from his position, citing health-related challenges.

The development was confirmed on Monday in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Badaru tendered his resignation through a formal letter in which he explained that deteriorating health had made it difficult for him to continue in office.
