Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has maintained his much-loved Christmas tradition this year, even while fulfilling national team responsibilities at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The festive image shared by the football star on Christmas Day showed his two daughters posing together without him, reflecting a warm family moment despite his absence.
Set against seasonal decorations, the photo quickly drew admiration from fans, offering a rare and intimate glimpse into the private life of one of world football’s most recognisable figures.
Over the years, Salah’s Christmas posts have become an annual ritual eagerly awaited by supporters. Past celebrations typically featured the forward alongside his wife and children, often dressed in matching outfits beside brightly decorated Christmas trees. Although this year’s image marked a departure from that format, it preserved the same sense of warmth and togetherness associated with the tradition.
Away from family celebrations, Salah remains focused on footballing duties with Egypt at AFCON 2025. He played a decisive role in the Pharaohs’ opening fixture against Zimbabwe on December 23, scoring a late winner in stoppage time to seal a 2–1 victory as Egypt began their quest for continental honours.
