The Ghanaian man who captured global attention after constructing a massive wooden ark and predicting a catastrophic flood from December 25, Ebo Noah, has offered reasons why the foretold disaster did not materialise.
Ebo, who became an internet sensation in August, had earlier claimed he received a divine message warning of a devastating rainfall that would last three years and begin on Christmas Day, wiping out the world.
He said the structure, known as the Ebo Noah Ark, was erected following divine instructions and urged people to repent in preparation for the looming calamity.
His prophecy, along with videos documenting the gradual expansion of the ark, generated widespread media attention and attracted visitors from different parts of Ghana and beyond.
However, in a video message released on Thursday, Ebo said he later received a fresh revelation after what he described as periods of intense prayer, fasting and consultations with other religious leaders.
According to him, the new vision revealed that the number of people expected to seek shelter in the ark from across the globe was far greater than its capacity.
He said he appealed to God for intervention and was granted additional time to construct more arks to accommodate everyone.
Ebo said, “God reveals to redeem. I have prayed, I have fasted, I have donated, and I have built.
“And through my prayers, I got another vision. And in the vision, when you look at the number of people coming, all over the country, all over the world, into the ark, the expansion of the ark couldn’t contain them.”
He further explained that after sharing the vision with other religious leaders, they joined him in prayers, after which more time was granted.
“So, I shared my vision with some great men of God who also interceded with me. After the intercession, God has given us some time to build more arks in that will contain all of us,” he said.
Ebo also cautioned members of the public against rushing to the ark’s location on December 25, emphasising that he was not selling tickets or collecting money.
“So, tomorrow, nobody should rush to any location. I am not selling tickets. I am not taking money from anyone also,” he added.
He urged people to remain calm, enjoy the festive season and continue to repent, maintaining that the message was still valid.
“Please, stay home. Enjoy yourself. Have fun. And also, I am wishing all of you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Still, the ark is there. Repent. Repent. Repent,” Ebo said.
Ebo’s actions have drawn parallels with the biblical figure Noah, who, according to scripture, built an ark to survive a flood believed to have destroyed the ancient world.
