The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, both close associates of boxing champion Anthony Joshua, will be held in London on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The remains of Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele were flown back to the United Kingdom after a fatal road accident in Nigeria.

According to details released ahead of the ceremony, the prayer service will commence at 10am at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.

The funeral announcement was made in a statement issued on Saturday by Boxing King Media, which expressed condolences to those affected, stating: “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”

Ghami and Ayodele lost their lives in a road crash on Monday, December 29, 2025, in Nigeria. Anthony Joshua was also involved in the incident but survived with minor injuries.

The accident happened along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State when a Lexus SUV conveying Joshua collided with a stationary truck. Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, were confirmed dead at the scene.

The London funeral service is expected to give relatives, friends, and members of the boxing community the opportunity to honour the memories of the deceased.
