The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Atah, has urged members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State to fully participate in the ongoing nationwide membership revalidation and registration exercise of the party.

Atah, a prominent APC leader in Kano State and key stakeholder in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, made the call while addressing party faithful and political leaders across the state.

In a statement signed on Monday by his aide, Seyi Olorunsola, the minister called on existing members to revalidate their membership and encouraged prospective members to take advantage of the exercise to formally join the party. He described the exercise as a crucial step toward strengthening the APC’s grassroots base and deepening its democratic structures.

According to Atah, the revalidation and registration process offers a unique opportunity for Kano residents who believe in progressive governance, national unity, and sustainable development to reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of the APC. He stressed that the exercise is ongoing in all political wards across the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State, ensuring accessibility for all willing members and supporters.

The minister commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his first term as bold, courageous, and transformative. He noted that the President’s reform agenda—particularly in economic restructuring, infrastructure development, housing delivery, social investment, and institutional reforms—has laid a strong foundation for Nigeria’s long-term growth and global competitiveness.

He said Nigeria is steadily moving toward economic stability and improved human development outcomes under President Tinubu’s leadership, adding that ongoing reforms are already repositioning the country to achieve an all-time high in its Human Development Index. According to him, these developments highlight the need for continuity, consolidation, and sustained support for the President’s vision.

Atah maintained that President Tinubu deserves a second term to consolidate the gains of his reforms and firmly position Nigeria on the global economic map. He described Kano State as a bastion of progressive politics and assured Nigerians that the state’s residents are fully mobilised and politically conscious.

Demonstrating confidence in the party’s mobilisation efforts, the minister pledged over two million votes for President Bola  Tinubu from Kano State in the forthcoming general elections. He attributed this assurance to the extensive grassroots mobilisation currently underway through the APC membership revalidation and registration exercise.

He further appealed to all residents of Kano State, regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, or religion, to participate peacefully and constructively in the exercise, noting that the APC remains a broad-based and inclusive platform committed to the welfare of all Nigerians.

Atah also reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the APC and the Tinubu administration, assuring party members of his continued commitment to strengthening the party and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda for the benefit of Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
