Jessica Chioma Nwobodo, Chief Executive Officer of Jaycee Signature, a fast-rising Nigerian fashion brand, delivered an impressive showcase at the just-concluded AfriCulture Fashion Show and Award held at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The colourful event, organised by Global Awareness for Development Initiatives, also featured the Excellence in Mentorship and Leadership Award for the Boy Child, attracting stakeholders from the fashion industry, entertainment sector, and civil society.
Nwobodo was among a select group of fashion entrepreneurs granted exhibition space to display their collections during the event.
Her brand’s unique designs quickly captured the attention of fashion enthusiasts in attendance, leading to significant patronage and strong sales from guests who admired the creativity and craftsmanship of the outfits on display.
Several notable personalities were also present to support the designer, including the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Abubakar Yakubu, as well as Nollywood veteran Hanks Anuku, Jerry Amilo among other entertainers who endorsed and patronised the brand.
Beyond the glamour of the runway, the AfriCulture event distinguished itself as more than a conventional fashion showcase.
It served as a platform for cultural dialogue and social advocacy under the theme, “Empowering the African Boy Child Towards a Balanced Future.”
The gathering brought together leading figures from the worlds of fashion, politics, and humanitarian advocacy, creating an atmosphere that blended creativity with purposeful conversation on societal development.
AfriCulture continues to position itself as a celebration of Africa’s unity and rich creative diversity.
Designers and models from different parts of the continent presented collections that seamlessly fused traditional African heritage with contemporary fashion trends.
