Princess Omobolanle Ogundiran, PhD, DSc, was conferred three national distinctions this quarter, culminating in double honors from the Award Celebrating Excellence (ACE) and ACE Media Management on Thursday, recognizing her pioneering work in crime prevention and human development.

Dr. Ogundiran, a criminologist, security intelligence expert and philosopher, is Founder & President of SEWWASI/BTC Skills & Training Institute and Convener of Intelligentsia Nigeria. Both initiatives deploy a “catch them young” doctrine—using skill acquisition, education, and early intervention to prevent criminal recruitment and detect risk factors before they escalate.

According to reports, the first award, presented by the management of Award Celebrating Excellence (ACE), honored Dr. Ogundiran as an "Outstanding Philanthropist & Empowerment Leader." The citation noted her “remarkable contribution to gender advocacy and human development initiatives, coupled with unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s development.”

The second award, from ACE Award & Media Management, recognized her as an "Outstanding Woman of Substance & Initiative in Security Intelligence," citing her “remarkable contribution to security development and total dedication to humanity in Nigeria.”

Last month, the National Female Association of Nigeria presented Dr. Ogundiran with an "Outstanding Award" for her leadership in advancing women’s roles in national security and development. The association commended her dual impact: elevating gender advocacy while architecting practical intelligence frameworks that reduce youth vulnerability.

Dr. Ogundiran has built a framework through Intelligentsia Nigeria that treats security as a function of economic agency. BTC Skills & Training Institute, which she anchors, delivers vocational and digital-security training to youth in high-risk corridors, converting vulnerability into employable skill.

“The highest form of crime prevention is creating alternatives before crime becomes the option,” Dr. Ogundiran said while receiving the ACE awards. “Our mandate is to make security intelligence proactive, not reactive. We catch them young, and we keep them free.”

Dr. Omobolanle attended the occasion in the retinue of noble leaders from Intelligentsia Nigeria. They Mrs Adeyinka Adeshina etc with some other  Awardees which include Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Group Chairman, Odua Investment Company Ltd; Dr Mrs Anuoluwapo Bankole, Founder of Mercyland International School, and many others.

The occasion was also attended by capacity leaders, including Hon. Dr Bayo Adefuye, Executive Chairman, Yaba LCDA, who later left for an official assignment.

Today, the Intelligentsia Nigeria celebrated with an orphanage home in commemoration of Children’s Day, which coincides this year with the Sallah celebration.

The triple recognition signals growing institutional appetite for non-kinetic security models in Nigeria. Development finance observers note that skills-led prevention programs are increasingly being measured as ESG-relevant interventions, with the potential to lower political-risk premiums for investors in urban centers.

Dr. Ogundiran holds a PhD and DSc, and continues to advise on policy intersections between gender, youth development, and national security architecture.

Dr. Omobolanle has remained committed in her vision towards tactically supporting the nation's security infrastructure.

A few months ago, she hosted an intelligence program in FCT themed, "Strengthening National Security Through Women and Youths Development: A Civil Intelligence Approach." The occasion witnessed the notable participation of key stakeholders in the security ecosystem.
