Gentle Emelah Receives New Bayelsa Library Board Member, Commends Governor Diri


The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Education, Gentle Emelah, has received a newly appointed member of the Bayelsa State Library Board, Mr. Ndutimi Donkuno, who paid a courtesy visit to formally present his appointment letter.


During the visit, Dr. Donkuno expressed appreciation to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, for finding him worthy of appointment into the Library Board. He also acknowledged the support of stakeholders who contributed to his emergence.


In his response, Emelah commended Governor Diri for strengthening the state’s education sector through strategic appointments and institutional development. He congratulated the  board new member and wished him success in contributing to improved library services and literacy development across Bayelsa State.


It was also noted that Dr. Undotimi serves as the State Director of the Pastor Reuben Initiative, an organization involved in leadership and community development initiatives.


The visit was described as a cordial engagement aimed at reinforcing collaboration within the education and information management sector in the state.
