A federal high court sitting in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory has disqualified Senator Andy Uba as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded Anambra governorship election.

The presiding judge, Hon Justice Inyang Ekwo declared that APC had no candidate in the election and Senator Uba should stop parading himself as candidate of the party.

Justice Ekwo also ordered APC to refund Dr George Moghalu his nomination and expression form fees.

George Moghalu had approached the court over challenging the nomination of Senator Uba as the candidate of the party. He argued that the party didn't conduct any primaries in the state.
