Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President, has denied reports that he has told President Muhammadu Buhari of his presidential ambitions.

Laolu Akande, Osinbajo's communications adviser, called the allegation "fake" and "speculation."

According to AIT, in a talk with a journalist, Akande stated that the news is false.

The media was awash on Monday that the Vice President had told Mr President of his plans to succeed him.

According to reports, President Buhari extended his support to his Vice President, just as he has done for other presidential hopefuls who have told him of their plans.

The source further stated that President Buhari is been careful of supporting a presidential aspirant ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Recall that Osinbajo stated that he would declare his next move soon, as his commitment is to President Buhari.

He further stated that at the right time he would declare officially his plan.
