Former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has reportedly gotten more than what he bargained for during a campaign stopover at the popular Ring Road area of Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Oshiomhole, who is the deputy director general of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council and also APC Senatorial Candidate for Edo North in the 2023 general elections, was said to have hit the busy ring road to campaign for Bola Tinubu and other candidates of APC before he was ‘chased away’ by ecstatic crowd chanting ‘Obi! OBi!! ”

PlatinumPost reports that the candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi, is said to be enjoying massive support in the ring road area which is the heart of Benin City.

According to a viral video sighted by PlatinumPost, Oshiomhole, who was visibly surprised with the anti-APC reactions from the crowd of mainly young people, quickly boarded one of the APC campaign vehicles and left with other members of his party supporters who had stormed the area.

The incident comes several months after Oshiomhole- a former national chairman of APC made anti-Obi remarks, referring to his supporters as “disobedient” and “four social media users in a room.”

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, causing widespread reactions and comments.
