Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle, Chairman Inter Party Advisory Council call on all stakeholders to join in the struggle for youth inclusion in decision making, while receiving the team behind Nigeria Youth Representation in Parliament Bill, otherwise known as “Youth Quota in Parliament”

Yusuf Dantalle declares total support for equitable youth participation in the Parliament, he charged IPAC Directorate for Youth Development, Directorates of Women Development and Directorate of PWD to join IPAC in this struggle.

He reiterated that “it’ll only take the youth to deliver the nation from the current economic circumstances” stating that, Yakubu Gowon was 28 when he led the Nation, he charge the team to be courageous and never give up in their fight for youth inclusion in Parliament.

According to the audacity of hope theory of Barrack Obama, you don’t have to give up even when the odds were against you. It’s important to believe “We Can” no matter the challenges you will face while engaging the political class for your right.
IPAC is willing and open to collaborate with the bill and we will get the message across all the 19 political parties platforms and ensure full support for the advocacy.

He charged the teams to extend the sensitisation across all political parties, civil Organizations and like minds, expand the campaign to the grassroots, and also find a way to discourage the youth from over concentration on big brother  Nigeria Reality TV Show, and over concentrating on Laliga, “I wish the love Nigerian youth have for premier league can be converted to politics, if we can convert the love we have for arsenal and man united , Nigeria will develop within 24 hours”

it’s a long walk but a very possible one, and it’s very important to realize the power of the youth demography, no society, no economy anywhere in the world can survive with the youth who are the active population, therefore it’s important and logical for them to demand and take their rightful representation quota in parliament and decision making.

The delegation was led by Hon Felix Idowu, a formidable and renowned youth development advocate, other member of the delegation includes Hon Blessing Oyefeso, Team Lead, Mr. Abe Itodo, media Directorate, Miss ChidiBest Ekweme, content manager and Mr. Harrison, Strategic communication of Youth Quota in Parliament Advocacy.

Mr. Blessing Oyefeso thanks Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle for the support and encouragement to the movement, and promised not to relent or give up all through the campaign until we achieved the objective of the project.
Youth Quota in Parliament Bill seek for a 1/3rd of seat at both National and State Assembly as Quota for Youth (age 25-35 and 36-40 comprising of both male, young women and special needs), to address the barriers of under representation of young people in decision making, while advancing all inclusive governance in Nigeria.
