Washington, D.C. – August 25, 2025 – The West Africa Fashion Council (WAFC) is proud to announce the appointment of Junda Morris, Founder & CEO of JMK Production LLC, as the new President of the West Africa Fashion Council USA.
Morris, a globally recognized fashion producer, cultural ambassador, and PR strategist, brings over two decades of experience in elevating African fashion on international platforms. As the visionary behind Runway International Shows—which has produced fashion showcases in the U.S., Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and beyond—she has consistently championed African designers, models, and brands on the world stage.
In her new role, Morris will spearhead the Council’s U.S. chapter, driving initiatives to:
Expand manufacturing and distribution opportunities for West African fashion brands.
Strengthen diaspora connections to the African fashion economy.
Provide platforms for youth empowerment, scholarships, and mentorship programs across the region.
Position West Africa as a global hub of creativity and innovation in fashion.
