The upcoming AfriCulture Fashion Show & Awards has received a significant boost as Tin City Fashion Week officially aligns with the pan-African cultural and advocacy movement, pledging to elevate indigenous Nigerian textiles on the global stage while advancing the empowerment of the African boy child.
The partnership was sealed during a strategic meeting held in Jos on Sunday, December 28, 2025, where Chief Christabel Bentu, Chief Executive Officer of Tin City Fashion Week, announced that the platform will prominently showcase Guodo, the iconic woven fabric of North-Central Nigeria, at the AfriCulture Fashion Show & Awards. Traditionally produced on locally made African looms, Guodo stands as a timeless symbol of African heritage, craftsmanship, and cultural identity.
“We are coming fully prepared with five A-list designers, top Nigerian models, and celebrities to make a bold statement,” Chief Bentu said. “African fashion has come to stay, and through Guodo, we will tell our story to the world, all for the boy child and for the love of Africa.”
