The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State has deployed 275 personnel in preparation for the second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, scheduled for March 17.
The Sector Commander, Bridget Asekhauno, announced the deployment while addressing officers and personnel of the command in Awka on Sunday.
She explained that the officers have been stationed across the state alongside 29 operational vehicles, including motorcycles, ambulances, and tow trucks, to ensure efficient traffic control and safety throughout the inauguration activities.
Asekhauno urged the officers to maintain discipline and professionalism while carrying out their duties. She added that the command, working with other security agencies, has strengthened traffic management and public awareness efforts to guarantee smooth and peaceful vehicular movement before, during, and after the event.
She also appealed to residents, visitors, and stakeholders to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security personnel to ensure the safety of dignitaries and members of the public.
The FRSC boss reaffirmed the command’s commitment to providing adequate safety measures to ensure the inauguration ceremony takes place in a peaceful and secure environment.
