OK MOVEMENT BAYELSA STATE SET FOR OFFICIAL FLAG-OFF AND INAUGURATION OF EXCOS

A New Chapter of Unity, Leadership and Grassroots Mobilisation Begins in Bayelsa

From the Office of the Head of Media, Northern Team, OK Movement

Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu

The leadership and entire family of the Obi/Kwankwaso 2027 OK Movement are pleased to invite Nigerians, supporters, stakeholders, political enthusiasts, civil society actors, the media and well-meaning citizens to the official flag-off and inauguration of the OK Movement Bayelsa State Chapter.

The event marks an important step in the continued expansion and grassroots strengthening of the movement as it builds a broad, inclusive and people-centred political structure across Nigeria.

According to the official event announcement, the Bayelsa State Chapter Flag-Off/Inauguration of Executives is scheduled as follows:

Date: Thursday, 6th August 2026

Time: 11:00 AM

Venue: Ididie Hotel, Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State

The inauguration is expected to formally usher in the newly constituted leadership and executive structure of the OK Movement in Bayelsa State, providing a platform for stronger coordination, grassroots engagement, mobilisation and responsible political participation.

The event will feature members of the national and state leadership of the movement, including Hon. John Uchullu, Director General, OK Movement, Hon. I. Oluwatoyin, Deputy TCO Youth, OK Movement, Amb. Christopher Ogbonna, TCO of the Movement, and Hon. Sir, Funobere S. Akene, Coordinator, Bayelsa State, as indicated on the official event material.

Building a Movement Rooted in the People

The OK Movement continues to emphasise the importance of organisation, unity, inclusiveness and grassroots participation in building a credible political future.

The Bayelsa inauguration therefore represents more than the unveiling of a state structure. It is an opportunity to strengthen the connection between the movement's leadership and citizens at the grassroots, while encouraging young people, women, professionals and community stakeholders to become active participants in the political process.

As the movement continues its preparations towards 2027, the development of functional state and grassroots structures remains central to its organisational strategy.

The Northern Team of the OK Movement recognises the significance of this milestone and extends its solidarity and best wishes to the leadership, executives, coordinators, members and supporters of the Bayelsa State Chapter.

An Invitation to Bayelsa and Beyond

The Office of the Head of Media, Northern Team, under the leadership of Queen Hassana Ozohu Salisu, hereby extends an open invitation to Nigerians and members of the public to join the Bayelsa State Chapter for this significant occasion.

The inauguration provides an opportunity for citizens to witness the formal commencement of a new phase of organisation and mobilisation in Bayelsa State and to engage with the vision, objectives and direction of the OK Movement.

The media is equally encouraged to give the event appropriate coverage as the movement continues to establish its presence and communicate its activities to Nigerians across the country.

Bayelsa State is ready.

The structure is taking shape.

The movement continues.
