OK Movement continues to strengthen grassroots identity and political engagement ahead of 2027

The Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), H.E. Mr. Peter Obi, CON, alongside the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, OFR, attended a Constituency Empowerment Programme organized by the Member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Prof. Lilian Oby Orogbu, on Thursday, 6 August 2026, at the Phinotel Hotel premises in Awka, Anambra State.
A notable moment at the event was the appearance of Mr. Peter Obi in the official OK Movement regalia, a development that drew significant attention and further reflected the growing visibility and grassroots identity of the Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement.
The empowerment programme, organized by Prof. Lilian Oby Orogbu, was aimed at providing practical support to constituents and strengthening economic opportunities for beneficiaries across Awka North and South Federal Constituency.
Speaking at the occasion, Senator Victor Umeh commended Prof. Orogbu for her commitment to the welfare of her constituents and for mobilizing resources toward an extensive empowerment initiative.

He disclosed that a Constituency Empowerment Programme for Anambra Central Senatorial District, which has already been captured in the budget, is expected to take place later in the year.
