Ahead of the Saturday convention of the ruling APC, a socio-political group, South West Action Network, SWAN has endorsed Prince Ishola Abiodun Olatunbosun as the national youth leader of the party.
This follows a meeting of the group which took place at Chelsea Hotel, Abuja the nation's capital.
In a communique signed at the end of the meeting signed by its national coordinator, Engr. Charles Awolowo and the Secretary General, Comrade Babangida Fahad, the group said Prince Olatunbosun has demonstrated consistent loyalty to the party, its unity and development over the years.
According to the group, Prince Olatunbosun has overwhelming popularity especially in the youth population across the country and capable of using this opportunity to attract more young people into the party.
"We as a group, we are poised to ensuring that our dear party, the APC gets it right in leadership recruitment. We have observed and find Prince Ishola Abiodun Olatunbosun worthy to be our National Youth Leader. This decision was reached after a painstaking consultation that saw our leaders tour round the North Central.
"We therefore call on delegates to make the right choice to position our party of a strong footing by electing credibility, trust and capacity.
"Prince Olatunbosun stands out and has severally shown that he can hold the position of the National Youth Leader of APC. On him we stand and in his full support we rise" the group said.
This is one of the series of endorsement Prince Olatunbosun has bagged since he declared his intention to contest for National Youth Leader of APC.
Earlier, a youth group within the party, National Youth Network had endorsed him as the national youth leader.
According to the group, this endorsement follows a careful observation of the activities of Prince Olatunbosun as well as due consideration of his antecedents as a stalwart of the party where he has for years made valuable contributions in building the youth community in APC.
The endorsement letter signed by the National Coordinator of APC National Youth Network, Amb. Salahudeen Shuaibu also noted that Prince Olatunbosun is its sole candidate for APC National Youth Leader ahead of its March 26 convention.
Prince Olatunbosun was a member of the recently constituted Committee for FCT polls where he ensured victory for APC Chairmanship candidate in Gwagwalada Area Council FCT.
