The former Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Special Duties, Chnasa Nwaneri, has been allegedly apprehended by a specialized team of police investigators in Imo State.
Nwaneri, known to be one of Uzodinma’s long-standing and trusted aides for over fifteen years, was reportedly arrested in Owerri on Saturday and subsequently transported to the headquarters of the State Police Command, Leadership newspaper reported on Sunday.
Sources close to the situation, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Nwaneri was escorted back to his hotel room, where an extensive search was conducted, before being taken back to the police command.
The exact cause for his arrest remains unclear at the time of this report.
